Thank you President Nasheed

Not one iota of harm and no hardship whatsoever to anyone’s job or prospects for career advancement will be caused on account of any criticism or dissatisfaction with the government. This is the unequivocal statement President Nasheed has for anyone who is dubious of his commitment to free speech and democracy. The statement couldn’t have come at a more opportune moment. Of late, I have noticed that a growing number of bloggers are becoming increasingly apprehensive of the Government’s stance on what my good friend Hilath calls “the noble principles of democracy and free speech”.

A humble call for Mr President to remove Dr Baree and the co from his cabinet and ministries If he is committed to freespeach and freedom.
No 24 hours Fatwas on TVM, radio. etc. The public is in raw fear now and these fundies are spreading hatred among us towards opposed viewed beings... pathetic! This is not what we voted for!

Even Denmark (the happiest country in the World) is censoring the Internet. Perhaps we can follow their example and ban homosexual sites, Anti-Islamic sites to make this country safer and happier. Let us face it 30 years of state-protected pedophilia and homosexuality has left our moral fabric derelict (pederasty and gay sex go hand in hand. They're inseparable and perverse, depraved forms of human behavior taking us down to the level of Satan)

This is very scary naeembe.

Last time he said Maldives is going to be a paradise for dissent writers. Next thing he started blocking a whole lot of blogs. I wonder what's gonna happen after this statement.

Something reminds me of golhaabo

anony 5:11: u r forgetting that men equally abuse little girls? haven't heard of naseem "sir"?

Little girls are little boys who are in turn resemblances of beardless little men.. consider the anatomical similarity. Hence, All pederasts are homos. I curse homosexuals for abusing little children. Let us remind these vile beasts that children are small helpless angels. If they must have sex with men then consider the wrath of almighty Allah.

Why is Denmark the happiest country? Why isn't Saudi Arabia, the holy land, where everything haram is banned, the happiest country? Allah, Allah why hast thou forsaken the Saudis? :(

I hate saudi arabia. I really do.

Who cares if you hate Saudi.. No one is bothered.

It looks like you are blaming yourself for not having enough money like a Saudi Sheikh...

and BTW, by what measure have made Denmark the paradise? The place gets less than 1 hour of sunlight for gods sake..

Saudi sucks.

As for Denmark being happiest country:

So sunlight makes people happy by killing them and sending them straight to Saudi paradise?
